Priest House Museum, Wimborne
Project: New Open Learning Centre Building
Client: Priest House Museum Trust
Location: Rear of 22-27 High Street, Wimborne, Dorset
Description: New Oak framed Open Learning Centre and Archive Storage Building
A new Oak framed Open Learning Centre and Archive Storage building incorporating a Visitor's Tea Room.
The project was constructed using salvaged face bricks, oak cladding, slate and plain tile roofs with feature patent glazed rooflight and purpose made Oak framed joinery.
The Site location afforded extremely limited access off Wimborne High Street and required continuous liason with adjoining local businesses and a Public Library.
We were particularly pleased to have been awarded this Contract to construct such an important building asset for our local town Community.
"Wonderful building, beautifully built. Matrod Frampton - first class team, excellent to work with, first class service - Ms Emma Ayling, Curator."
